i don’t care how many people out there don’t want a Ghostbusters III because Dan Aykroyd is possibly recasting Bill Murray.
i don’t care how many childhoods were “ruined” after watching Ghostbusters II because it wasn’t as good as the original.
i enjoyed Ghostbusters growing up and i loved watching both movies, The Real Ghostbusters, and Extreme Ghostbusters no matter what the “hardcore fans” say about any of ‘em.
to see a Ghostbusters film set in my present timeline and make it a “passing of the torch” (a la Extreme Ghostbusters) just makes me anticipate it even more!
with or without Murray, i’ll be squealing when i finally get to see both old and new ‘busters strap an “unlicensed nuclear accelerator” on the big screen once again. (just as i’ve been squealing for over a decade ever since news of a third film’s been circulating the ‘nets)
i’ve never hated anything Ghostbusters-related nor has it ruined my childhood in any matter at all (except that lame other Ghostbusters cartoon that shouldn’t have existed. y’know, with that damn gorilla?).
so bring on GBIII — with or without Bill Murray — and i’ll be damn certain that my childhood will be along for the ride as much as i will!
